Security first

Your data never leaves your warehouse. Metricly is built from the ground up with security and privacy as core principles.

How we protect your data

Query-time execution

Metricly generates SQL and executes it against your warehouse at query time. Query results may be briefly cached (up to 15 minutes) to improve performance.

Encrypted everywhere

All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256 via Google Cloud.

Your infrastructure

Your data stays in your warehouse. We connect via read-only service accounts with minimal permissions.

Access control

Sign in with Google for seamless authentication. Role-based permissions with owner, admin, member, and viewer roles.

Audit logging

Query execution and authentication events are logged via Google Cloud Logging for security monitoring.

GDPR compliant

EU data residency with infrastructure in europe-west1. We maintain a Data Processing Agreement for all customers.

Security FAQ

Does Metricly store my data?

Metricly generates SQL queries and executes them against your warehouse at query time. Query results may be cached for up to 15 minutes to improve performance, but we do not permanently store or copy your data.

What permissions does Metricly need?

Metricly requires read-only access to execute queries. We recommend creating a dedicated service account with minimal permissions scoped to the specific datasets you want to analyze.

How are credentials stored?

Warehouse credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 via Google Cloud and stored in our secure infrastructure. Credentials are never logged or exposed in error messages.

Where is my data processed?

Our infrastructure runs in Google Cloud's europe-west1 region (Belgium). We are GDPR compliant and offer a Data Processing Agreement to all customers.

How do I report a security concern?

Please email security@metricly.xyz with any security concerns or vulnerability reports. We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly.
